Description |
![]() “SES and racial health disparities: insights from the Biopsychosocial Health model” Socioeconomic status (SES) and racism are considered two fundamental causes of health disparities. Research in my lab focuses on the endocrine (e.g., cortisol), metabolic, and immune responses associated with psychosocial stressors and resources in the context of SES and racial/ethnic health disparities. This presentation will highlight findings from secondary analyses and primary data collected from diverse samples in Metro Detroit. Insights will be shared on the moderators and mediators that connect psychosocial factors to health and disease outcomes. |
