Description |
![]() "Childbearing and women's mid-life well-being in a low-income, high-fertility context" How many children people have is associated with health and well-being in later life. Although this relationship should theoretically be strongest in high-fertility settings, limited research has studied the question in sub-Saharan Africa, where birth rates are the highest in the world. We draw on longitudinal survey data collected in rural southern Mozambique to analyze if, how, and under what conditions past childbearing is related to women’s health and well-being in a low-income, high-fertility context undergoing rapid social and family change. *** Lunch provided. *** |
