PRI Family Demography Working Group Thursday, 9 December, 12:00 Noon - 1PM EST "Gendered Norms of Caregiving, Self-Sacrifice and Positive Health Behaviors" Molly A. Martin and Sarah Damaske
In this NICHD R03 proposal we plan to examine gender differences in the association between parenting young children and positive health behaviors, such as receiving medical and/or dental care, sleep, and engagement in physical activity. We will also explore whether the following factors condition these gendered patterns: gendered norms in the respondent's region of residence, race/ethnicity, and socioeconomic status.
