Through its Travel Grant initiative, Global Programs aims to support travel related to internationalizing education and research opportunities in any discipline. These grants provide some of the resources to support faculty travel related to developing global awareness, global literacy and global competency among undergraduates and to promote global leadership in scholarship and international engagements for graduate students.
The categories of grants are designed to encourage new applications and recognize the work already accomplished in the internationalization of curriculum and globalization of the campuses. Faculty Travel Grants carry an award up to $3,000 for international faculty travel to explore new short-term program opportunities or to accompany students on a new short-term program. The application is currently open.

“Travel grants are another way that Global Programs helps faculty implement a global curriculum,” said Rob Crane, interim vice provost for Global Programs. “These grants further Penn State’s tripartite mission of teaching, research and service around the globe.”
The application deadline is 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20.
