
Understanding Single IRB: 20-Minute Overview will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. on March 5 in 102 Kern at Penn State University Park or via online streaming. Researchers conducting federally funded research, who have an NIH grant or who are collaborating with other institutions may fall under the updated Single IRB requirement under the Common Rule. The updates have broadened the Common Rule to include research that did not previously require Single IRB review.
This presentation will discuss guidelines and process to meet the new Single IRB requirements. An IRB analyst will be available for questions after the presentation. This presentation is geared toward researchers at all University locations, including the College of Medicine.

IRB Protocol Training will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on March 20 in 102 Kern, Penn State University Park. This training provides step-by-step guidance on how to complete a protocol for submission. This training is appropriate for those new to the IRB protocol development process or who have questions about protocol submission. The training will break down the various components of a protocol and provide example responses for each section. An IRB analyst will be available for questions after the training.
