Last week, the Social Science Research Institute's Consortium on Substance Use and Addiction (CSUA) was on Capitol Hill for The Science of Addiction & Mental Health hosted by The Science Coalition.
Director Joel Segel and Glen Sterner spent time with Congresswoman Madeleine Dean, several staff from the offices of Senator John Fetterman, Senator Dave McCormick, and Congressman GT Thompson, in addition to meeting with special guest, ESPN’s Lauren Sisler.
They discussed their applied research with practical application for law enforcement, health practitioners, and municipalities across the Commonwealth, all made possible by investment by the Department of Justice, The National Institutes of Health, and the National Science Foundation (NSF).
