David Puts, professor of anthropology at Penn State and Social Science Research Institute cofunded faculty member, was recently elected president of the Human Behavior and Evolution Society.
Puts is also the principal investigator of the Behavioral Endocrinology and Evolution Lab at Penn State. His research focuses how sex hormones affect our psychological and behavioral development, and why we evolved these developmental patterns.
As president of the Human Behavior and Evolution Society, Puts will oversee the organization that serves all those studying the evolution of human behavior. The society’s worldwide membership includes researchers from a range of disciplines in the social and biological sciences.
