Betsy Beck and Joe Broniszewski recently celebrated their retirements from SSRI with a party to honor their years of service at Penn State.
Betsy spent the last five years of her 19-year Penn State career as a senior administrative coordinator at SSRI. Previously she was with IST, Smeal College of Business, and Penn State Law. “I will miss the team of people I worked with at SSRI,” Beck said. “This position interacted with staff, faculty, graduate students, and administrators from many colleges, campuses, and institutes. The collaborative approach to research has been very rewarding for me.”
Betsy and her husband Ron plan to travel and spend time with family. She also hopes to get back in the theatre and spend more time painting, reading, and gardening.
Joe has served as IT director at PRI and SSRI for the last 29 years, and retires after 34 years at Penn State. “I’ll miss working with the great IT team here at SSRI,” Joe said. He plans to spend more time with his mom and brother who live three hours away and do more traveling.
